Worries of the world

I am such a worry wart.. at this rate I feel that I'm carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders, although not literally like Mercury (... or was it another Greek god that held up Earth?). The haze is back in KL due to peat fires in Cyberjaya & forest fires in Indonesia. Daughter is having breathing difficulty due to it.

And the war in Iraq remains unresolved, the situation in UK remains unsettled and on a local scale there appear to be more crimes than ever. This is why I don't like reading the news. Makes me depressed most of the time and helpless too... With or without the news, my life won't be any less complicated. So, maybe that's my prescription. No news for a week and see how much better I'll feel after that :p

I've completed my 1st speech for Toastmasters- although I do feel that I could have done SO much better. Never mind that, I'll focus on impressing the pants off of everyone for my 2nd speech (whatever that will be.. ). I'll have to go for a class rep meeting in 5 mins. Toodles!
