Alternate Ending
Growing up I had read books that had alternate endings, one of it was called "Escape from Colditz". My younger brother usually brings these books home & this particular one he had bought. Depending on your choices, there'll be something like 3 to 4 different outcomes/ finale. Essentially as we read, we have to make choice (a) or (b), and turn to the respective pages to continue the story. This was perhaps the pre-cursor of modern computer & online games, who knows?
Then there were such movies e.g. Click; 13 Going on 30; Back to the Future- with rather similar concepts i.e. you live by the choices you make.
Where am I getting at, you say? Do people wonder what could have been? I suppose many people do. I do too sometimes but I don't ponder on it- would rather move on and live with my choices. Approaching 40, I am supposed to be the adult- mature enough to make my own decisions and live by them. My teens tell me about their issues at school: currently they are traversing puberty, relationships, school all at the same time. As a mother I hope I would have prepared them a little to handle these things with sufficient presence of mind.
