Rescue Mission
On our way back from buying nasi lemak yesterday, we heard a tiny "meow"-ing in a monsoon drain. Usually I would have taken my car to go but today we decided to support the environment by walking. Eldest son went into the drain almost immediately upon seeing the seemingly lost kitten, its mother nowhere to be found.
We took the kitten back, gave it some milk & practically went from one place to another, asking people whether they want an extra (small) mouth to feed. First option: our (plant) nursery owner who has at least 20 cats with him- he refused, since it's too small & he would have to move his cats out soon once the hall they occupy is completed. Second option: foodstalls- we decided against it since kitten probably can't fend for herself yet. Third option: security guard- we had to go to several security posts before one accepted. We found a cat lover, finally! He has some cat food on hand, with a resident (teenage) cat to boot.
Once we're home, hubby asked how our day went. I would say it went pretty well, actually.
