"Let's Move Forward"

This is a legendary quote from a colleague whom I have ceased to communicate with. No reason to. Not to a person who is capable of talking everyone down to make her look good.

In the beginning she seemed an interesting enough person. Grew up in UK, returned to Malaysia because she missed the country & what's familiar about it. Got an education in a public university & settled down with a guy from up north. From her mannerisms and behaviour I had no reason to suspect that she had an evil side. I was foolish enough to believe that she was acting as a professional, in the direct way that she spoke & addressed people. Nothing personal, she would say.

Long story short, as I am in no way interested to demolish her like what she did to the rest of us, she is no longer in my "people to make small talk with" list. Now all communications with M is strictly business. No I am not interested in her daughters' or hubby's or grandma's activities, even when she discusses it distinctly across the cubicles for everyone to hear, with the handful of staff she has left. Lesson learnt-end of story.
