YB Syed Saddiq MP for Muar married Bella Astillah, an artist/ celebrity yesterday morning on 10.10.2026.

Many Malaysians rejoiced in their union, myself included.

One other wedding I have written about was Harry and Meghan, so proud was I that the UK Monarchy accepted a mixed-race, divorced commoner to wed the spare (his words). Since then, a lot of things have happened and respecting their requested privacy, the press and the public has stopped paying attention.

BASS on the other hand are much loved (yes, there are haters too). 2 hardworking people who has faced multiple challenges in life, yet they choose to believe. In love. In each other. In their future life together. The publicity from YB Said Sadiq, the 'hollywood' persona was for product endorsements, which translates to funding for Muar. Bella have been working after her second divorce from her first husband, to sustain her two children. Their wedding is high profile, with representatives from the entertainment and political world.

The way he looked at her, the way they behaved after the nikah, the way everyone rejoiced says it all. So in love were they towards each other, and her children, I have cried many tears. This is an example of a man who really want to be there, to be present for her and her children. Yes, he is a politician, but I do hope deep in my heart that he is pure-hearted based on what his parents have taught him. 

I pray that both of them find the happiness and sakinah in married life. May they be blessed with love and companionship and meaning always, till their very last breath together.
