Welcome to My Life

Hubby has made arrangement to hire a new maid. His reasons include: washing the toilet is no longer my core duty (?).

We are now pretty settled with things around the house. Conditions are not the most ideal (and the house is not as tidy as I would like it to be) but we are reasonably good (am I in denial?). Daycare is quite reliable and they love Naddy & Aliya, but once the maid joins us the little ones will be at home.

I am quite apprehensive, after the previous experience with Ms Tyrannasour but am hoping for the best. On the work front, I seem to be getting back to my workaholic mode (which I don't really favour). JUST LET GO! Whatever happened to wanting to be a normal lecturer? At the rate I'm going I'll probably be dumped work as a 'normal lecturer' and STILL be handling administrative matters- it's just the kind of person I am (who people just love to refer to).

Certain Things Come With Age

Approaching the age of 40 gives one a fresh meaningful perspective on life. This morning I registered Naddy for school; the teacher was surprised that I have 5 children, as I look rather young *SMILE*

Despite still being unreasonably gung-ho and borderline control freak, I am happy to report that I have been able to take things much more easily than before. Erratic drivers and uncouth individuals do not ignite the same level of rage, as I tend to let things slide. I forgive you people!

Now I am planning what to do for the rest of my life. Top of the list is to do CELTA and travel overseas to teach English. Second choice is to work for UNDP or UNICEF and develop some programme or the other. Yes, not very specific yet but I still have a bit of time to think and process things. An international upbringing would be interesting for Naddy & Aliya, wouldn't you think?
