A New Way of Cheating?

Yesterday I handled an online exam with one re-sit student. Basically it is an open-book exam with 4 questions. Student had to write the answers and submit them online.

To avoid the similarity scanning, he had added the letter "i" before almost every word.. and the letter is in white font. The turnitin scanner did not detect any 'similarity' but the submitted work was red all over, because the grammar checker picked it up as a "non-word". 

Anyway, to keep this story short, his work was terrible short and he failed the exam. Again. Marking was done under 15 minutes because there was not much worthwhile content to mark anyway. The case was flagged up for plagiarism and I probably would need to see him again for the hearing. Joy.
