Masters Class

Teaching a higher level class has always been daunting to me, especially when my students already has working experience.

It is perhaps my low self esteem + my feeling of inadequacy after having left practice for too long (and most likely never to return).

To overcome the 'panic", I normally try to drill down to the very basic i.e. basic principles, general rule, examples, non examples, contrasts.

With higher level students, the fun thing is their critical thinking ability: they're able to synergise the concepts and connect to how it is applied in business/ finance. I LOVE the interaction and the discussions and the scope of answers that need not be limited to 'marking schemes" that tend to be favoured by undergraduate students.

Hence, I will take it one day at a time.
I do not have all the answers but you betcha I do know how to teach!
