Midlife Crisis

Swimming with Men is a movie about an accountant who is undergoing a phase in his life, where he was getting bored with work and having issues in his matrimonial relationship.

He was added on to a synchronised swimming team and they eventually competed in an international competition. The overall experience brought the men together and gave a direction for the team.

The story is good and Jane Horrocks carries her screen time well as Eric's councilor wife (I remembered her as the absent-minded PA from Ab Fab).

There were some scenes reminiscent of The Full Monty and many funny lines.

That short experience had turned their lives around and brought the men closer together. There is a sense of purpose, camaraderie, togetherness, and they achieved as a team.

As for me, my life quest continues.
